How can citizens, small enterprises and large corporates and institutions build a Internet of Things infrastructure in the city of The Hague to foster all kinds of new services while providing a strictly user centered data control?

To explore this Dutch Coast started Datacommons. With the support of SIDN fund we have build a collectively owned sample of a Internet of Things communication infrastructure. The next step is to ignite several prototypes of IoT services in the city. Among the first concrete projects are a city wide environmental data platform and a child safety service at Scheveningen beach.
